Length: 3 minutes, 42 seconds
This flex band piece depicts a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh on a crisp winter's day. We can hear the clip-clop of the horse's hooves and the jingling of the sleigh bells as we glide across the landscape. As we come over the ridge and the countryside opens before us, we slow the horse for a rest, cuddle close, and perhaps steal a kiss. Then a crack of the whip and we're off again toward home and a warm fire.
The arrangement has 4 parts distributed across various instruments of the band, making it possible for almost any combination to sound good. The parts are playable yet challenging enough to engage young players.
