Listen
Mississippi River Brass Band
Jack Stamp, conductor
Length - 6 minutes, 48 seconds
This piece was written to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landing and was performed in July, 2024 at the US cemetery in Normandy, France. It honors the soldiers and sailors buried there by weaving together Taps, the service songs Anchors Aweigh and The Caissons Go Rolling Along, and the service hymns Eternal Father, Strong to Save and God of Our Fathers.
This is a perfect tune for Veran’s Day or Memorial Day, or any time during a concert where you may want to honor our veterans.
